
Um, no, it’s not. You’re completely ignoring the cultural, health and financial reasons that cause people to not be able to give up meat or animal products. Not to mention that some people simply like meat and don’t want to give it up, and either way it’s really none of your business if people eat meat or not. Who are you, the diet police?
You’re building this false dichotomy of “be vegan/vegetarian” or “hate animals,” as if people can’t care about animals and eat meat too and it’s very ignorant of you. I love animals, and I try to make sure that all of my meat and animal products come from places that treat the animals humanely, don’t use pesticides in the animals food, and don’t pump them full of harmful steroids. Sometimes, however, that’s hard.
It’s really cool that you want to and CAN practice a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle. But this superiority complex that a lot of you people have is really irritating. Good for you, you abstain from eating meat. You don’t see me sitting here trying to force silly and false absolutes down your throat for it, however.
